4th of July!!

Well, another trip to Newport Beach. We just can't get enough. It was a perfect celebration to my last day of the school year which was last Thursday. We flew out Thursday right after work. This time we got to share the enjoyment with Kelly's friend Craig and his wife Nekell. Heather and John were great hosts and let us all stay at thier house again.

Since it was a busy weekend for the 4th, once we found a parking spot on Balboa Island we didn't want to move because we probably would not be able to find another one. Good thing we could walk to the beach. With that said...most of our time was spent soaking up the sun at the beach. It was perfect weather. Not too hot, but you were plenty warm at the beach. The water was absolutely freezing though. After awhile you just got numb and could bare the piercing cold. The first spot we went to on the beach the waves aren't the best because the waves crash right on the sand..but Kelly and Craig didn't seem to mind.

On Saturday night we had a bbq with gourmet hamburgers. Heather and Kelly are quite the chefs, it was delicious. Then we went to see the fireworks at the end of thier street over the water. It was a fun show!!! We might just be there again next year on the 4th!!
